I'm Dr Sidra Khan, a consultant dermatologist, and I'm opening my private practice in Glasgow very soon.
At S.K. & Co. Dermatology, medical and cosmetic dermatology work together rather than as separate services.
Take acne. I'll treat the active acne, whether that means tablets, prescription creams or acne-specific laser treatment. Then I'll treat any scarring it has left, and make sure you have a long-term plan to keep your skin clear.
Melasma is another example: the best results come from combining prescription treatment, carefully chosen procedures and the right daily skincare, not any one of these alone.
I also look beyond your skin. Sleep, stress, diet, hormones and your daily routine can all affect how your skin behaves, so we'll talk about these too. Whatever your concern, you'll have one consultant dermatologist (me!) looking at the whole picture and overseeing every stage of your care.
What I'll be offering
Medical dermatology: acne, rosacea, melasma, and hair loss.
Skin checks and minor surgery: mole checks, sun damage, biopsies, and removal of cysts and skin lesions.
Skin rejuvenation: laser treatments, injectables, and treatment for sun damage, redness, pigmentation and acne scarring.
A little bit about me …
My specialist interests are skin of colour, lasers and skin ageing.
What matters most to me is getting care right for the person in front of me. That means working with you, not just treating you: high-quality care rooted in evidence, tailored to your skin, your goals and your life.
I'm completing a Master's in Skin Ageing and Aesthetics at the University of Manchester, with research focused on acne scarring, and I'm a member of the British Association of Dermatologists, British Cosmetic Dermatology Group, European Society for Laser Dermatology and the British Medical Laser Association.
I've worked internationally, published research, and contributed to national and international dermatology committees, textbooks and guidelines.
